  • The schematic symbol,
  • The name of each gate and
  • The truth table for each gate.

 

 

Section 1-2 Analog/Digital, Number Systems and BCD

 

What you need to know:

 

  • How to recognize analog and digital quantities.
  • How to convert between binary, decimal, hexadecimal and BCD numbers.
  • How to add two binary numbers.
  • How many binary bits it takes to represent a given decimal number.
  • How to determine the one’s complement of a binary number.
  • Error detection using even and odd parity.
